Ganymede Moon Print
Ganymede Moon Print
Gicleé print of my watercolor “Ganymede” painting.
Ganymede is the Jupiter’s largest moon and also in our solar system. Discovered in 1610 by Gallileo, Ganymede takes its name after the mythological Ganymede, cupbearer of the Greek gods and Zeus’ lover (Jupiter in Roman mythology). Possessing a metallic core, it is the only known moon to have a magnetic field. With an internal ocean, Ganymede may contain more water than all of Earth’s oceans combined.
