Strawberry Moon Print
Strawberry Moon Print
Gicleé print of my watercolor “strawberry moon” painting.
The last full moon in Spring (usually in June) is designated as a “Strawberry Moon” and is the most colorful of all the full moons. The name comes from the Algonquin tribes of Native Americans; this full moon was their sign to harvest wild strawberries, according to the Old Farmer’s Almanac. This event is also called a HoneyMoon, Mead Moon, or Full Rose Moon. When in its full peak time, the strawberry moon can be so bright in the dark sky that it is difficult to look at it for more than a few seconds.
